In some ways it’s kind of amazing that so many extras are included in the Pharos Traveler Smartphones—especially when you consider the value you’re getting compared to other Smartphones on the market today. For example, did you know that the Traveler 137 has a built-in FM radio? How many other Smartphones do you know of that give you this handy feature?
All of the multimedia options on the Traveler 137 are conveniently located just to the right of the Home screen. Simply touch-and-sweep your finger to the left to display the screen as shown in Figure 1.

To use the FM radio, first make sure to plug in the headset. The headset is required because the headset’s cord acts as the radio’s antenna, but that doesn’t mean that you have to listen to the radio through the headset. If you’d rather you can use the speaker instead of the headset, but if you want to listen in stereo you’ll need to use the headset, of course.
After the headset is plugged in, tap the FM Radio icon to launch the radio as shown in Figure 2.

It’s very easy to use and understand the FM radio application. The tuning buttons are just below the frequency display and the sound control buttons are just below the volume indicator bar.
Tip: The sound control button just to the right of the center switches between the headset and the speaker. The icon on the button shows which output is currently in use.
Below the sound control buttons are six buttons you can use to store your favorite radio stations. Once you’ve tuned in a station, tap-and-hold a button to store that station in the button. You can tap a button with a stored selection to quickly tune to the stored station.
Whether you’re looking for news, sports, weather, or your favorite music, the built-in FM radio in the Traveler 137 Smartphone is yet another example of the extra value Pharos provides.
